THE WORLD CUP TEAM

Oscar-winner Morgan Freeman has accepted an invitation to join the Board of Directors for the USA Bid Committee to bring the Men's World Cup tourney back to the USA. Other notable board members include former President Bill Clinton, comedian Drew Carey, actor Brad Pitt and soccer stars Landon Donovan and Mia Hamm.

The Men's World Cup was last held in the U.S. in 1994. The tournament is held every four years. This year's World Cup is in South Africa. More on the current World Cup soccer competition.
