THE MOVIE "HUNGER GAMES" SETS A RECORD AT $152 MILLION!

It now ranks up there with the Harry Potter, Twilight Saga, and the Black Knight movies! It's a genuine blockbuster! (though what block it broke I'll never understand)

Needless to say, the pre -opening hype proved accurate. The sci-fi, fantasy film is likely to be the first of three as it follows the book series it's based on. Here are the details...


THE STEVE MILLER BAND TOUR! (In La Crosse for Freedom Fest)

They call it their "World Tour," and they will earn that title as Steve and the band will eventually perform in Scotland, Belgium, Germany and France. However, the most important date is in La Crosse for Freedom Fest on June 16th. Foreigner is also on the bill for the La Crosse date. LOOK FOR THE RETURN OF THE BEATLES "YELLOW SUBMARINE!"

This May will see the reissue of the Beatles animated film, "Yellow Submarine," as well as the soundtrack to it. There will be plenty of extras, of course, as with any modern reissue of a classic now 45 years old. Get the complete details here...

INDUCTEES AND PRESENTERS NAMED FOR THE 2012 ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME!

As usual, many well known performers are delighted to induct artists who had an influence on them. Coming up in April, the 2012 Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland will see these presenters:

John Mellencamp will induct Donovan
Stevie Van Zant ( of the E Street Band) will induct The Faces.
Carole King will induct music publisher Don Kirschner
Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill of ZZ Top will induct Freddie King

It's time to set your clock ahead one hour with the return of Daylight Saving Time on Sunday morning at 2am. Most U.S. residents will follow your example, but in Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands time will remain the same. (the last two are U.S. territories.)
