A legend of song will join a legend of the screen at a benefit in New York next Monday. Aretha Franklin will appear as a special guest alongside Meryl Streep, Kristen Bell, Marlee Matlin, and others at a celebration called "Shine On" on Monday, April 12th. "Shine On" marks "Good Housekeeping" magazine's 125th anniversary and will include tributes to inspiring women from the last century and a quarter. Actress Brooke Shields will host the evening at Manhattan's City Center in Midtown.
